Revised Humpty Dumpty
Jada Bates
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall~
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall~
So all the king's horsemen and all the king's men put him back together again.~
Humpty kept thanking, while the knights just had fun taking Humpty home,
but as time went on after his saving~
He kept thanking the king and knights all night and day!~
Deemed too annoying, the king made a plan~
He told all his knights! and then three days went by~
Humpty came thanking and the knights asked if he’d do a mission
for the king! to block off that wall~
Humpty agreed and off they were sent!, not knowing the truth of the knights’ intent!.
When they got to the wall they had Humpty sit.
At first he was scared and said he would break.~
But they said it was so he could shoot people off.~
So Humpty agreed and sat on the wall! watching as they put the signs to Buzz off.~
A knight climbed the wall and pushed Humpty off!~
He hit the ground and went begging for help~,
But the knight just looked hungry and cooked him up nice!~
No Screaming!~
Nor Begging!~
Would get them to stop!~
The king’s horsemen and knights, they ate up~
eating his flesh and tearing his insides and put him to rest~
When the horsemen and knight went back to their king~
They gave him a piece and went on their day~
When someone asked where Humpty had gone, all they would say~
was Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall~
Humpty Dumpty had a "Great Fall"~
All the king's horseman~
And all the King's men~
Couldn't put Humpty together again~
